Warmest Regards
November 21-30 2025
THIS Gallery, Vancouver, BC
This exhibition brings together the work of Alejandra Morales, Angie Quintanilla Coates, and Samira Sukhatme—three immigrant artists whose practices converge through colour, form, and a deep exploration of place.
From fantastical worlds of flora and fauna to meditations on light and texture, and vibrant geometric reliefs that radiate optimism, each artist carries the warmth of her cultural heritage into her work. Together, they offer a vivid counterpoint to November’s chill—an invitation to step inside, be enveloped by colour, and bask in a shared sense of brightness that transcends season and place.

GET A DOSE OF DOPAMINA MEXICANA
HOLA
I’m Angie Quintanilla (Keen-tah-née-yah) Coates, a Mexican visual artist based in Port Moody, BC. I create vibrant, geometric compositions with bold colors that reflect my love for maximalism and my commitment to resilient optimism. This is both a nod to my Mexican heritage and an invitation for anyone who needs it, to get a dose of I like to call dopamina mexicana.
Select commercial art clients: Over the years, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with some amazing brands like Lego, Warby Parker, M&M's, Dr. Martens, The New York Times, HRC (Human Rights Campaign), United Nations, McDonald’s x Saweetie, Topo Chico, Cosmopolitan, Netflix, Origin Magazine, Plan International, Popsugar and more! I’m always excited about projects that celebrate creativity, connection, and bold visual storytelling!
